Clutch Assembly
A clutch assembly is typically a friction disc that rides on the transmission input shaft and a spring loaded pressure plate that squeezes the friction disc to the flywheel to engage the engine to the transmission. When the pressure plate is released, the clutch assembly is disengaged and the friction disc and flywheel can rotate independently.
