2010 Dodge Journey Problems

The remote keyless entry system may not work intermittently. Our technicians suggest upgrading the software in the wireless ignition node (WIN) to correct this concern.
An engine overheating condition may develop due to a coolant flow issue. Our technicians tell us that debris may block the cylinder head coolant port at the primary thermostat housing. Removing the debris should correct this concern.
Rattle/howl/drone/buzz type noise, resonating from the rear of the vehicle may develop. This sound can be heard at approximately 2100 rpm and may only last for a few seconds. Our technicians tell us that exhaust clamps and brackets should be checked for proper torque and heat shield clearance should be inspected if this condition occurs.
On vehicles equipped with V6 engines, the Check Engine Light may illuminate and code P0339 is stored for intermittent loss of the crankshaft position sensor signal. Our technicians tell us that adding a shim to the crankshaft sensor will commonly correct this issue but in some cases the flex plate may require replacement.
A squeak type noise may be noted form the rear suspension. This may be caused by interference between the parking brake cable clamp screw head and the rear cross-member. Our technicians tell us the cross-member should be re-centered using a special procedure to correct this concern.
When using the cruise control, inaccurate speed settings or excessive engine RPM may be noted. Our technicians tell us updated software for the powertrain control module (PCM) is available to correct this concern.
Slight corrosion may be found on one or more seat frames. Our technicians tell us that corrosion inhibitor should be applied to the affected area and revised covers are available for the second row seats.
The incorrect temperature may be displayed in the cabin compartment node (CCN) - instrument cluster. Our technicians tell us that the CCN software should be updated to correct this concern.
