Front Control Arm Bracket Bushings May Fail

Failure of the front control arm bracket bushingsoften referred to as thrust rod bushingsis moderately common. One symptom is a clunk or jolt felt in the steering when braking.

Water Pump May Develop Coolant Leak

The low coolant light may illuminate and/or the engine may overheat as a result of a coolant leak from the water pump. The leaking pump will require replacement and the entire cooling system should be inspected for leaks as it is not uncommon to find multiple leaks on higher mileage vehicles.

Overheating can cause severe engine damage. If the engine begins to overheat it is recommended to stop at the first available location and have your vehicle towed to a repair shop.

Check Engine Light and/or Engine Overheating

The thermostat may fail resulting in engine overheating and/or illumination of the Check Engine Light. Replacement of the thermostat along with a complete inspection of the cooling system will be necessary to correct this concern.

Driver's Frontal Air Bag Inflator Ruptures And Sprays Metal Fragments

The driver's frontal air bag inflator may deploy the air bag with excessive pressure, resulting in the inflator rupturing and causing metal debris to be sprayed onto vehicle occupants. Dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag free of charge to resolve the concern.

Driver's Front Air Bag Defective

In a crash that deploys the driver's front air bag, the inflator of the air bag can rupture, causing metal debris to strike vehicle occupants. Dealers will replace the front driver's air bag module free of charge to correct the concern.

Airbag Inflator Concern

Upon deployment the passenger airbag inflator could rupture, increasing the risk of personal injury. BMW dealers will replace the affected airbag inflator modules to correct this concern.

I have a 2001 330i with 105k on it.I have the car for a little over a year now. I did do alot of repairs to it however, the car was not cared for very well by the previous owners. I love the way the car drives and handles the 3.0 liter engine still kicks. I just recently did body work to the car and in about two weeks I am goin to replace my vanos valve seals and fix my the rear main seal. The ...
had this car for 8 years and have numerous problems. 1- fabric in the overhead hheadliner has fallen down, 2- engine is always leaking oil from one place or another, 3 keeping this car s front end e allined is a real problem, 4-the cadilliac convrter needs replacing and numerous other problems. I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND BUYING A BMW.
The 2008 BMW 330i handles great with good acceleration. But the interior molding on this car is C$#@. It is the cheapest quality I have seen on any car ever. For example, the interior plastic molding on most cars is the same color throughout, but in the 330i it is a white plastic that is painted the desired color. Moving the seat will rub off the paint.
