2007 Saturn Sky Red Line Problems
RepairPal has identified the most common problems with the 2007 Saturn Sky Red Line based on complaints from actual vehicle owners. We'll tell you what the problem is and what it'll take to fix it.
A Loose or worn gas cap may cause Check Engine Light to illuminate.
The 2007-2009 Saturn Sky Redline is known to have issues with the EVAP system, a part of your emission control system.
To correct the issue, the EVAP canister vent valve, solenoid, and wiring must be inspected. The most common fix is replacement of the wiring connector or replacement of the vent valve assembly.
Saturn Sky Redline Coupes may display the warning message "A/C off for Engine Protection" on the instrument panel. This may be accompanied by illumination of the check engine light and the temperature gauge reading cold at all times. This is a feature of the engine that is activated by the power control module when it detects the engine warming up too slowly. The OBD trouble code P0128 may also be stored.
The cause is simply a worn out thermostat that stays open at all times, preventing the engine from reaching the proper operating temperature.
Replacement of the thermostat will correct the issue.
The rear axle pinion seal may leak causing fluid loss and possible internal rear end damage. Replacing the faulty seal will commonly correct this concern.
