Check Engine Light Due to Air Fuel Sensor Fault
The air/fuel sensor, located in the exhaust system, may be damaged by moisture in the exhaust resulting in illumination of the Check Engine Light. Replacing the damaged air/fuel sensor and updating the powertrain control module (PCM) software should correct this concern.
Check Engine Light Due to Temperature Sensor Data Fault
On vehicles with a block heater, the powertrain control module (PCM) can misinterpret data from the coolant and intake air temperature sensors, resulting in a false Check Engine Light. Updating the PCM software is needed to correct this concern.
