I just replaced my engine in my 94 oldsmobile cutless surpreme while in drive my car at times wont go forward

I have had my cutlass cruiser for over 8 years. I am the second owner and when I bought it for $3400, it had 56K miles on it and was in great condition. The car has been amazing and I have driven it back and forth between California and Oregon at least 50 times. Now it has 185K miles and things are just wearing out and needing repair. But it has been a great ride and if I could I'd buy another one today. I have had to do so few repairs and it has been a very practical and comfortable car. There were a couple issues with electrical but the engine just goes and goes.
