Very Comfortable car, especially on long trips. This vehicle was made to Excel on the highway where the gas mileage using cruise control is compatible with smaller vehicles that feel and look like tin boxes. Poor gas mileage in the City due to stop and go traffic. Best mileage on the highway was 28.6 mile average from NYC to Hershey Pennsylvania using cruise control most of the way. Had two Crown Victorias prior to this Grand Marquee and can notice a big difference in the ride. I will enjoy this car to the end. Approaching 90k on the odometer.
A nice, comfortable car, with decent mileage. I have 50,000 miles on it, with the original brakes and tires.... only expense other than maintenance is the climate control unit had to be replaced at around $1,000, soon after it ran out of warranty. Since they don't make them anymore, I think I'll have this one till it quits.
i bought mine new in 08 and love the car,the only problem i have had was the sunvisor mirror covers broke off not long after getting the car and had a pant problem, peeled off of the header panel, but other than that i love it.i drive this car form kansas to florida every christmas and average 25 to 26.5 miles per gallon.ive had v6 cars that didnt get that on the highway.i would buy another one for sure.and for what i payed for it i couldnt have bought a striper camery.
Have had a lot of expensive trouble with the Automatic temp controls.
My wife and I love the the body style, the plush interior and the amount of trunk room in our 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis. Love the rear wheel drive and the braking system lets you feel secure. The lighting, both interior and exterior is more than sufficient. Nice quiet V8 engine with plenty of passing power if needed. Toasty warm in winter when we go north and more than sufficient air conditioning when it really starts to crank out the heat and humidity where we live. The ride is as a big car ride should be and the steering seems to be a little quick. When we travel, we use the cruise control and lock it in and we average about 25-26 miles per gallon for a 500-700 mile trip. Would we buy another? Yes
