Excessive oil consumption—defined as more than one quart per 1,000 miles (on vehicles with less than 50,000 miles) or more than one quart per 750 miles (on vehicles with more than 50,000 miles)—is common. Common causes include exhaust valve guides, valve cover gaskets, camshaft plugs, camshaft seals, and crankshaft seal.

Shifting harshness and shuddering issues related to the operation of the automatic transmission have been addressed by factory service bulletins. The shuddering can feel like the vehicle is being driven over rumble strips.

Intermittently, the key may not start the car or release from the ignition. If it is excessively worn, replace the key. If the new key doesn't work, replacing the lock cylinder including tumblers should correct this concern.

Some vehicles may develop a musty odor coming from the HVAC system, Dodge has issued a cleaner/disinfectant and a coating for the evaporator designed to inhibit bacterial growth.

Headlight switches can fail, causing the headlights to intermittently stay in the on or off position. Repeatedly turning the switch on and off may temporarily fix the problem. Replacement of the switch is needed to resolve this issue. 

Remote start fails to start vehicle or vehicle starts and then shuts off within 2 min. Problem occurs at random. Dealer replecated problem but currenly unable to fix.

The front legs for the third row bench seat may not retract. Our technicians tells us a new parts kit and/or spring is available to correct this concern.

One or more power windows may stop working due to a failed regulator or motor which will require replacement. Our technicians tell us the regulator and motor is replaced as a set on these vehicles.

There have been reports of excess oil consumption due to oil burning in the combustion chamber. This can be occurring even without the traditional blue oil smoke noted from the tail pipe. In some cases this oil consumption is due to problems with the PCV system. It is recommend a complete inspection of the PVC system, including this oil baffle inside the valve cover, be performed if excess oil consumption is noted. According to the manufacturer, usage of 1quart of oil every 1,000 miles is acceptable.

I have had the Van for 2 months. The A/C was hissing and then blowing warm air. Lucky still have the manufactures warrenty and I am told the rear evaporater needs to be replaced. I am still waiting for this part to arrive so far 1 week has passed and it will be July this week. I need this fixed asap.

A failing head lamp switch can cause the head lamps and/or instrument cluster lighting to flicker or dim. The head lamp switch should have a noticeable click between each position; a "mushy" feel is a strong indication of a failing switch.

An intermittent loss of speed control can happen soon after the transaxle input or output speed sensor has been replaced. The problem is most likely caused by bad connectors.
During turning, squeaks can come from the strut area; the strut mount assembly should be replaced.

A "tapping plate cage" on the driver side frame rail may cause a squeak or tick noise while driving, this is often misdiagnosed as a suspension problem. The tapping plate is a threaded plate which accepts one of the front sub-frame mounting bolts. The "cage" of the threaded plate may be touching the frame rail causing noise as the vehicle is driven. "Adjusting" the rear tab on the tapping plate cage so it no longer is touching the frame should eliminate this noise.

If the seal is not properly lubricated, the moon roof (sunroof) can make noise.
