The convertible top may develop a flutter noise at freeway speeds. Most commonly the repair will involve installing foam tape to both sides of the convertible top under the side cable pockets.
A tappet/lash adjuster noise may be noted from 3.0L engines. Our technicians tell us that proper testing of the valve lash adjusters should be performed before replacing any parts. A full crankcase of clean engine oil is necessary before determining if any lash adjusters are bleeding down and causing a noise concern.
