2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HDMartinO, Gold Hill, OR, December 07, 2010 11:202004 2500HD 6.0 gas. At 104,000 miles the engine lost oil pressure. Kept driving 20 seconds to get off the road. Shut it off when I heard the lifters ticking. The oil pan was removed and there were brass shavings in the pan. The oil pressure regulator was found to be stuck in the open position. Oil/filter had been changed every 3-4000 miles, street use only. Since then I have read of 6 other failures in medium-mileage 2500's.EnthusiastFlag ThisLike | 7 people like this7
