Q: Would like to know how to remove rear brake rotor from 1986 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL on 1990 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL

I have 1986 Mercedes-Benz.The rear brakes need to be replaced.I have already removed brake calipers & pads,but having a hard time trying to remove rotors.

You need to clean the flange at the middle , with a wire bush or sand paper to remove rust....than spray wd 40 in it and let it sit for 10-15 minutes....next found the biggest hammer you can and hit at the hub of the old rotor.....Oh make sure your parking brakes are off with jack stands secure. It should come off easily...If not hit it evenly on different spot of the rotor from the inside and this will make it come out,,,,unless the brake shoes are holding it....
