Have owened and worked on toyotas since 1988 and know it is your alternator. every one i have owned has had the alternator fail between 135k to 150k miles. you should avoid a junkyard part and spend the 150 or so at toyota to get a new one.

My Toyota Camry 2004 has only 56k. For the last one month I am facing the problem. When I turn ignition all warning lights are getting on and there is very low hissing sound somewhere but won't start. Please advise me the remedy. If I attempt repeated jump starts (i.e. Boosting), will it have any adverse effects on engine, etc. Please Advise me.
