Wont start

(1999 Saturn SL)

car wont start and the battery is fine, it will not even turn over what could cause this?

Your starter may have failed. Or it could be battery cables or ignition switch or possibly a starter relay involved. If the cables are good, check for voltage at the big cable at the starter, should be battery voltage. check also for battery voltage on the smaller 'Start' wire at the starter when you turn the key to 'Start.' if both voltages are good, you may have a bad starter. If either the cable or 'Start' wire voltage does not check out OK, you have to trace the problem back to the ignition switch. You'll need a voltmeter or test light at least to check this out.

Check your CPS (CRANK SHAFT POSITION SENSOR) heart of the engine easy to put on 6cylinder motors have them right by oil filter ....104.00dollars about 15 minutes to put in
