wont start

What is your question?

okay so i was driving the car and it died, we towed back and have tried to figure it out but cant when we turn the key the lights and stuff comes on but no crank or anything for the engine at all, the battery is good and we have no clue can you please help us, if the alternator goes out will it still jump and turn over?
