Wipers won't turn on

(1999 Pontiac Sunfire)
My wipers won't turn on, but the cleaning fluid still sprays. Any ideas on what I should try?

It sounds as if the circuit board, wiper motor or the linkage has failed. You will need to remove the cowl cover at the base of the windshield to access the wiper system. If you can hear or see the motor tuning but the wipers do not move then you have a linkage problem. If nothing is happening at the motor then diagnoses will be required to determine the cause.
