Q: will starts but sometimes clicks on 1999 Buick Century

I have a 1999 buick century with a 116k miles my problem just started one day I went 2 the gas station and out of the blue my car wouldn't start and every time I turned the ignition key it just clicked now it does it more often the strange part is when it doesn't start I get a jump and it start right up and runs great there's no lights on at all so please help and tell me what's the problem

Check that the battery cables are clean and tight. Charge and test the battery to ensure it is OK (The battery is tested using a hydrometer and or a high Rate Discharge test), ensure the alternator is charging the battery properly. If the battery and connections are OK then the starter is most likely faulty.
It does sound as if the starter motor is failing. I would have the battery & connections checked as well. Weak voltage from the battery or a loose or dirty connection either at the battery or at the starter can possibly cause or at least be contributing to the problem. It's a good idea to check the battery cables also. You should pay particular attention to the ground cable. This cable connects the ground side of the battery to the engine block. These connections have to be solid and clean. I hope this helps!
