Why won't my truck start

(1990 Ford F-150)

truck was running great. changed air cleaner and then it wouldn't start. It will turn over but not start. i have spark coil is putting out proper voltage put in new eec relay and new fuel pump relay sprayed ether into throttle body but it still won't start. what else could it be. I.am stumped.

Pull a wire off a spark plug and check for good HOT spark there! Did you install an aftermarket air 'cleaner' or do you mean you changed the air 'filter'? IF you have spark at the plugs and sprayed ether into the intake it has got to either backfire, start for a second or catch on fire!!!! Check for SPARK!

just changed air filter. map sensor doesn't connect to the air box have pulled all plugs and tested for spark against motor all are firing
FOLLOW UP: I found out what the problem is. my tank selector burned out and shorted my new pump relay took out switch put in a jumper put in the New relay and she started right up.
