Why is my vehicle making a scrubbing sound when I stop at a red light?

This only occurs when I stop at a red light or a stop sign. It does not do it when I am driving.

Sounds are impossible to make good recommendations about since I cannot hear it and everyone discribes noises differently. I suggest you take it to a shop that you have cofidence in and simple ask them to take a listen to it. Very good chance they will have clue whats going on if they can hear the noise. Best not put it off.

Thanks. I do plan on taking it to the shop on Tuesday morning, 4/10. Several people have told me that it could be the brakes or brake pads.
