Q: why is my truck not starting when it was perfectly fine an hour ago? on 1996 Toyota Tacoma

pulled my truck into the garage, installed a new stereo, messed with the stereo with the car off and now it wont start, the battery is charged and everything works but the engine wont start

It is most likely a fuse or fuse link has blown. Does the engine crank over when the key is turned to the starter position? Does the yellow Check Engine Light come on when the key is turned to the second position if not the computer is not getting power (probably a blown fuse). Check the fuses at the driver's side lower of the dash and the fuse box in the engine compartment. If all the fuses are for sure OK determine if you have spark and fuel!There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars..
