Why is my car losing power and shutting off

I have 2002 Saturn SC2 automatic losing power and shutting off when I try to drive it. I recently replaced the PCM because I was told that it was bad. However, the problem still exist. Can someone help me!!

could be a cat converter clogged. you need another shop more familiar with driveability issues that can help you diag it and give you a bid.

Can it be unclogged? The PCM that was originally in the car was a 2002 it was replaced with a 2001 brand new PCM does it matter that the years are different or do they have to be the same?
