Why does smoke come from the left side of the motor

(1999 Ford Explorer)

I notice it when I drove from work to home which takes smoked for about 2mins not big clouds but big enough to see something is smoking under the hood.the next day I drove it to the corner store by my house,I left it running while in the store,came home looked under the good and let it run for 5 mins still no smoke.turned it off smoke comes from the left side of the motor.not a lot or big clouds

Suspect left valve cover gasket leaking a small amount of oil onto hot exhaust manifold... Radiator fan blows smoke away when engine running.. Turn engine off, fan stop.....see smoke!
