Why do I hear a rattling when I accelerate?

(2008 Honda Accord)
It only occurs when temperature outside are 60 degrees or below. When I press on the gas pedal, I hear a slight rattling that ceases when I let go of the gas pedal. It doesn't seem to affect fuel economy but does give the feeling that the car isn't accelerating as fast as it should. Any information would be helpful as auto mechanics I've taken the car to can't seem to diagnose the problem.
What seems to make the problem better or worse? Outside temperatures affect it. Warmer temperatures stop it from occuring.
How long have you had this problem? Over a year and a half.

Loose exhaust system ’heat shield’ comes to mind.. Vehicle will need to be hoisted for inspection.

Knowledgeable mechanic should test drive or ride along so rattling noise can be experienced first hand.

Good luck!
