Who can I take my car to to find a "short"?

Car wouldn't start. Got it to Autozone to be tested - was told it was alternator. Changed it. Drove around. Parked and in the morning it wouldn't start. Where do I start?

I would suggest having battery tested as well as connections for terminals. a bad altenator can cause a battery to degrade and short out one of the cells. it might take a jump and drive ok for the day but if left sitting will discharge and not start. another possibility could be a parasitic draw which basically means that somewhere there is a circuit staying energized even after car is shut off. may need to go to shop or dealer for this. it can be hair pulling to try to track down a parasitic draw.
