Where is the voltage regulator located?

(1990 Plymouth Voyager)
in Pueblo, CO on August 22, 2010
My battery kept draining, so we figured my alternator went out. However when we finally managed to get it pulled and tested, they said it was fine. that was when they suggested it may be the voltage regulator, which is apparently not part of the alternator on this model of vehicle, but we can't find it. Does anyone know where it may be located?

I suggest you have this diagnosed to see if the alternator is charging or you may have a drain on the battery. Is the battery draining while driving or when parked?

It is in the alternator. Does the voltage gauge show a (-) while you are driving?
