I have always avoided stalling by giving the engine a little gas. This does not happen every time I'm stopped.60,000 miles

Does your service engine soon light come on? If so a code should be set which can be read with a scan tool. The fault code may lead to the cause of your rough idle.

Mine does this too... and also stalls sometimes when I'm backing up. It hadn't done it all winter...and then when it's started to warm up- has started again... I put $900 into it to "repair" it and it didn't fix it so... who knows?
