When should the timing belt be replaced?

(1996 Mercury Villager)

My mother's vehicle has 135,000 miles on it and I don't think she's replaced the timing belt. Does this vehicle have an interference engine?

It is not listed as an interference engine, but the belt should be changed every 105,000 miles. There is also a time interval (ie. months or years), I don't have that info but I would bet it is shorter than 14 years.
