When shifting out if first, it seems to go into neutral.

(1999 Plymouth Voyager)
I just installed a used transmission. I put it in drive, and it seemed to work, but when it shifted out of first it was like it went into neutral. I shut it off, and tried again, same thing happened.

Hello,
The transmission may need the fluid changed, may have incorrect fluid, may be slipping in second gear, or may have electronic issues.

If there is a warranty on this transmission, I would first check the fluid level, then exercise the warranty.
