Q: when i try to start my car,it is dead, however the battery is good. on 2001 Dodge Intrepid

i had a towing person out and they said that the battery was good, but maybe it could be the starter. Is this the case.

A bad starter would be a primary cause for this problem...you can pull starter and have it tested. Make sure power lead to starter has not corroded or broke off and that the relay or fuse is not shorted out. You will probably want to start with this http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/2001-Dodge-Intrepid/Relay-Starter/_/N-jf9x6Z9cj8k?filterByKeyWord=starter+relay&fromString=search

did the towing person load test the battery if not you should get that done first if it is good then I agree with #1 answer
