What would make polling noise on my expedition

(1999 Ford Expedition)
on August 08, 2017
If I try to take off too fast or when I'm pulling up a hill my vehicle makes a popping noise and jerks like something is going to break...looked underneath can't see anything and the rpm gauge don't jump like it would from transmission slipping

Popping noise is possibly a failing universal joint .. Jerking is more indicative of an engine misfire. There may be two separate problems .. Suggest taking mechanic for a ride or have mechanic test drive... We can post some possibilities - however vehicle presence is required for actual hands-on inspection.
