What would cause the loss of power while driving?

(2004 Honda Civic)
While driving my radio shuts off, the screen goes blank and all my gauges fall to the bottom and I loose power. Car will barley go and even died and won't restart. Example: I have a 3/4 full tank of gas but when I start to lose power it drops to E.
What seems to make the problem better or worse? Nothing
How long have you had this problem? 2 weeks. Took it to be looked at and the tightened the battery cables but now it's doing it again.
