V8 or V6 front or rear bracket? Any pulley modifications? Correct belt and tension? AC working ok, compressor turn freely? Bracket and all componets properly installed with 'ALL' the right length bolts and tightened correctly? Other componets that share this bracket in good working condition? Engine mounts ok? Really need to see it to say for sure! Has got to be something different about it 'now' because it lasted approx.17 years without breaking!! Trick is to find out what. Where it broke exactly may be a clue. Also IF AC doesen't work because of compressor failure, it can be bypassed!
