What is the range?

I just had my check engine light checked at autozone and it said I had a problem with the range. What is the range?

There are so many types of range, like Throttle Position Sensor 'out of range' meaning the voltage signal from it is either too high or to low in reference to its design range, there is fuel trim 'out of range' which has to do with the system over or under compensating the fuel mixture to off set some malfunction in the air fuel ratio and there are still many more types of range beyond these 2 examples.
If you could please get me the specific code, then I can help you with which range they are referring to and what needs to be done to repair the problem.
