What is procedure to check out the drive train after an accident? on 2003 Honda Pilot

My car had a rear end collision. What checks should I ask the Honda shop to do to verify drive train is in good working order?

you dont need to tell them. it is there job to verify these things. ask them to mkae sure. do not try to tell them there job. remember, you need to drive the car and confirm the repair before you accept the car back. thanks for using repairpal Roy

Hi, thanks. the shop has said that the only thing they can do is drive it around, listen for noise. I was hoping there was other checks, like alignment or verification of torque distribuiton. things like that. if you have any tips about that, it would be helpful.

wow that is odd. they can do a lot more than that if they wanted too. i would talk to the insurance compoany and tell them you will take it to another shop to verify your car is in the same operating condition before the accident since this shop caqnnot or will not verify this. did they fix the car already?? They want to fix the body, that is well documentated, but i asked what can they do to check out drive train, and just drive it was answer, if problem noticed, then things like put it up on hoist etc.

thats why I said to test drive it before you take delivery on the car. if you are not satisfied, do not accept it and notify the insurance company of further damage and have them do a supplemental estimate. Roy
