i know its egr valve which i replaced. would it be the vacumn cylinoid

take the EGR Valve Temperature Sensor out and check it for carbon deposits, there is also an EGR modulator, beside the EGR valve, it has a cap that comes off and you can clean the filter in it. the code 71 don't mean go buy an EGR Valve..testing required on everything to do with the EGR System!! also,it has a vacuum solenoid..google this Part Number: 911-642 for a picture engine size? A/T or Manual?
