What is cause of intermittent engine stall

(1997 Dodge Ram Van 2500)
in Colorado Springs, CO on August 12, 2010
engine acts as if it has fuel starvation, but only intermittently. sometimes it just struggles to stay runnig and not able to increase engine rpm with additional fuel pedal press. computer check ok, no instrument panel indicators or error codes given. recent spark plug change, fuel pump pressure steady at 50lbs. when it does stop engine if i start engine directly after failure it stops within 2 or 3 seconds. if i let it rest for 15 -20 minutes she runs beautifully for another few hours

really need to check the Check Engine codes and then diagnose the problem, there are dozens of possible things it could be, as you have found out by trying different parts with little success. A simple code check is NOT a Diagnosis, you need to scan the real time data to see what is going wrong and when.

O it gets worse it won't run after a while, getting a new computer soon tell you if it fixed the problem
