What do i have to do in order to change my engine from a 3.8 to a 5.7

my head gasket blew so i just chose to change out the engine i have a friend who has a 5.7 l for sale just want to know if it can be done?

It is not impossible, just next to it!! It wont fit the car! Fix the 3.8!..... Replace it with another 3.8 or junk it!

could i put a 4.2 in it? i just want a bit more power if im going to put a new engine in it

You can put a jet motor in it if your pockets are real deep! If you change the engine it has to be one that will be legal to drive.... EPA!! Now that 3.8 has all the power you need if it's running right!!
