What causes the knocking sound in the bottom of the car motor at the oil pan

the problem started when the car ran hot and the radiator burst with a whole in it

spun bearing,, bent rod, number of things.. do you have water in the oil?? if you got it hot,, you may have blown a head gasket

In other words,the motor is trashed.So many things can get wrecked in this scenario that only a replacement or complete dissection done by a knowledgeable mechanic can rectify.
