90 ford ranger no start fuel delivery problem. Will temporarily start with start fluid. But with switch off check engine and batt light stay on.
What seems to make the problem better or worse? Doesn't start at all without starting fluid

Hello,
It sounds like you have a bad ignition switch.

You can test it by unplugging it and testing across the circuits as you rotate it through it's positions.

Found the problem with the check engine and batt light. Somebody had hooked the small batt leads on positive side of battery. Before the fuel pump wouldn't come on. Now the fuel pump comes on and stays on instead of 2 sec prime. Still a no start. Has fuel pressure but i need to hook up noid light to injectors
