We changed our switch it turns over but now it will not start

(1999 Chevrolet Malibu)
some one tore up the switch we changed it and now we can't start it.It turns over but no results in starting it.

check on line and you'll find out how to deactivate the anti theft. I know it's behind the radio and there a yellow wire to cut then the anti theft light will stay on but the car will start or at least that problem will be fixed.
