Excellent work, I was just disappointed that the tire mounting cost almost twice a much as tire stores. I had hoped it was due to alignment being included or some other reason, but it was not. It cost me an additional $60-70 to have the tires installed here.

The repair on my car took longer than expected but it was explained to me that was because of a defect in the programming of the broken sensor. I feel they want above and beyond because they drove my car to the BMW dealer to be fixed. Although it took longer than expected the customer service was great.

When I first moved here I was skeptical to take my car into a repair shop because I have only had my car serviced at the Volkswagen dealership. Parasitic draw is normal in all late generation vehicles but any draw in 05 Jetta above 40 milliamps is too much and will kill a new battery in 3 days. I have found that many techs do not know the proper procedure for testing parasitic draw. We have found issues in the VW's due to water damage in control units but this was in mostly earlier models, late 90's etc. I suggest you find a shop that can do a proper parasitic draw and that testing of circuit with draw can be repaired.

Dear Rookie If your vehicle information posted is correct the issues you have listed are of concern but your main concern should be the fact that your timing belt is 10 years old and if it breaks the results are catastrophic!!The rule in the real world of interference engines such as the one in your Passat is to never go more than 5 years or 60k miles. Granted the problems you have listed are real and should be repaired. If you are original owner of this vehicle,VW should have sent you a notice of Ign coil replacement under a recall bulletin.When having this recall done the dealer would be able to install your spark plugs for a nominal fee because they are servicing your secondary ignition problems.Again the timing belt issue is the greatest concern you should have.Also if coolant reservoir is not cracked just clean it. A proper t-belt service includes w/pump replacement with new coolant.

According to the Alldata information there is not a manufacture recommended interval for the rear differential. Most likely the vehicle came factory filled with synthetic gear lube and is considered lifetime. we recommend gear lube drain/replenish on time and mileage 60k would be a interval that I would be thinking about changing gear lubes.
