Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
my car ran smooth , took it to mechanic for routine maintenance. was told water pump is starting to leak. water pump, timing chain and tentioner was replaced....now my car makes a rattling noise. mechanic said its the tentioner and the noise will go away in a few days. is this true.noise is still present

No, the noise won't go away if a few days. There is a special way to load (pump up)
the hyd. tensioner on these engines, if it wasn't done right it won't pump up. This leaves a ratteling noise were the chain guide slaps against the tensioner. He will need to go back inside the engine and load the tensioner to repair.
thank you kindly for your response, i've been driving the car for a few days but long distance can this cause any further damage?
