Valve cover replacement

(1999 Lincoln Continental)
in Port Saint Lucie, FL on June 24, 2009
I checked with a garage and they said it would take over 5 hours to change these
I actually need only one replaced the front one , thank heavens , just wondering , does the intake need to be removed when this operation is done? that would explaine the time thing , or is there a lot of equipment to take off to get to them

You should expect the front cover (left side) to be 2.0 - 2.5 hours, and the intake doesn't need to come off for this job.
