<p>The <a href="/water-pump" class="ct_glossary tooltip">water pump</a> may develop a <a href="/coolant" class="ct_selected tooltip">engine coolant</a> leak resulting in an engine overheating condition.</p> <p>The leak may come from the "weep hole" in the water pump, which is designed to show when the water pump is failing and requires service.&nbsp;</p> <p>Another source of the leak could be a failed water pump gasket, but in either case, replacement of the water pump will likely be the correction.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The <a class="ct_glossary tooltip" href="/tie-rod-end">outer <span class="ct_glossary tooltip">tie rod ends</span></a> on the steering linkage may wear causing excessive free play in the steering and uneven tire wear. If the worn tie rod ends are replaced, the wheel alignment should be checked and adjusted as necessary.</p>
Problem Reported: Loss of Power Steering Fluid From Steering Rack Failure
