Question Asked: High rpms when I start engine. Why?

Engine revs high when I start the ignition, idle at a traffic light and sometimes while driving. When I'm driving it seems as if the drive chokes and catches up with itself. It's done this for years but it's very noticeable and more consistent now.

As a result the engine computer is unable to determine the proper ratio of air to fuel for the engine. Replacing the failed oxygen sensor should correct this concern.</p>
Problem Reported: Airmatic Pump Motor May Fail Due to Sticking Relay

<p>A sticking relay, causing the airmatic pump motor to constantly run, may causee the airmatic pump motor to fail or the battery to go dead when the car is shut off. Worn airmatic pump mount bushings can causes noises in the front axle while driving on bumpy roads or a buzzing noise.</p>
