Used engine, rebuilt engine, or repair head gasket/front cover for $2000+-.

(2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo)

2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 3.4L enginge, 115,000 miles. Recently started leaking coolant badly. Mechanics said it needs new head gaskets and front cover for around $2,000. Would I be better off getting a used/rebuilt engine? And if so where is the best place to look, how much could I expect parts to cost, labor to cost? Anything would help.

Thanks!!
