Transmission or clutch is slipping. Car starts and is fine for the first 2 min of driving and then it sounds like it is just revving up but it will not go! Help. what can I do check to see what is going on
first it was the starter and altenator then they cause battery cell to be bad and drove home from mechanics shop the car wouldnt shift as i accelerated. the RPMs were up to 4 and sounded abit horrible. 2 days later had it towed to a transmission shop were i was told there are some metal pieces in the transmission that is causing the car not to shift. Chrysler wanted 4000.00 for a rebuilt transmission and the transmission shop wants 2870.00. and chrysler only gave a 1 year warranty with a lifetime warranty. Considering trading it in... i love this car
actually had to replace the transmission which cost $2000. I took it to a Meinike repair shop in Overland Park Ks, and they evidently screwed it up as the problem started the day after I left there.
