Hello,
The problem with monitors failing to set is that it requires diagnosis to identify the cause. Certainly driving around the east bay will allow the monitors to set, as there is a plethora of different driving environments here.

There is likely an issue, a check engine light is possible, and diagnosing the issue will take a professional if the monitors failing to set is preventing fault codes from being stored.

It can be tricky, but depending on which monitors are failing to set, there are some common remedies.
