Trying to replace fuel pump!ive removed all lines and both tank straps and tank

tank may have a tar substance that secures it in try pulling down slightly. btw did you unhook the filler neck?

yes i have ive prob done 100 pluss in tank pumps and this baby dont wanna budge. ive pryed from every side and direction but it wont let loose. was thinking of heat lamp in car to warm sealant up. ideas?

NEVER SEEN ONE TAHT BAD. THIS MAY SOUND BAD BUT IS EVERTHING UNHOOKED, DOUBLE CK. IT SHOULD NOT BE THAT BAD. SORRY

the tank is sealed to body with tar you to hammer and chisel and pry bar....be happy or you can cut another access hole across from float about 10 inches measure first works geat seal patch with fiberglss..seal tite........
