Q: truck starts&runs great 1day,next day,hart to start&will cutoff on the hway at65 on 1994 Ford F-150 Lightning

ran out of gas afew weeks ago,yeah,whatadumbass,2tanks!anyway how many fuel pumps do I have to replace? I've gone 100mi.rmore&RUNS GREAT,THEN ITS OFF/ON,BOTH TANKS,HELP ME OUT,I NEED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ON ME,WITH SOME DIRECTION I CAN DO THIS.thanks,dumb-ass

You will need to perform a fuel pressure test off whichever pump is in the tank that you were utilizing. Its either the pump or the relay. Running out of gas can short out the pump. Just try the other tank and priming the engine. This should get you started down the right road. Bob
