Q: Transmission Service on 1999 BMW Z3

Rookie cbe0621eac06868b3efe0d8d1d3611e23c60d3114864ea2ec19a68cfbd3eebab
I have 150,000 miles on my Z3; the manual states the transmission fluid is for life and should not be changed. I am having problems on the 3rd gear slipping on acceleration. Two engine lights will appear... Should I take a chance to change the transmission fluids or replace the transmission (if replacement, should it be a rebuild or ...)

Take it to a transmission shop have them diagnos it then take it from there.
Generally if the manufacturer recommends not changing it they make it very difficult to change. And if memoty serves correct there is no tranny dip stick to check the fluid level. I believe you have to use a scanner to cmmunicate with the tranny ECM to know the fluid lvl
